Overview
The CELLRUPTOR® process has been developed by Eco-Solids International Limited as a cell disruption process, principally for the pre-treatment of feedstock prior to the anaerobic digestion of the sludge.
The CELLRUPTOR® process dramatically improves the operational and economic dynamics of treating cell-based organic feedstocks using anaerobic digestion. Download the brochure.
CELLRUPTOR® uses a unique pressure swing technology to open up biosolids materials, such as Surplus Activated Sludge or crop biomass, to increase the rate of subsequent fermentative processes, including anaerobic digestion.
Anaerobic Digestion
By using CELLRUPTOR® to pre treat certain feedstocks for anaerobic digestion the yield of biogas can be increased, and, if required, the throughput increased.
The process is simple and effective in enhancing the reduction of volatile solids and increase in overall gas generation, without the energy requirement and operational costs of some alternatives.
