July 2007> Pilot-plant designed for the treatment of Landfill Leachate for a site in the Philippines
Eco-Solids is delighted to announce that it has designed a pilot plant for treatment of landfill leachate for PHIL ECOLOGY Systems Inc. of Manila in the Philippines. The main objective of this project is to provide a pilot plant to investigate how best the leachate can be treated and build on the information and experience for the provision of a range of simple and compact process units which are relocateable and cost effective.
Dr. Manocher Asaadi of Eco-Solids, who has designed the plant with Dr. Jake Spooner, states;
"Several process options were considered: anaerobic filter, conventional activated sludge process (ASP), biological aerated flooded filer (BAFF), membrane bioreactor (MBR) and integrated fixed film activated sludge (IFAS). It was decided to use the IFAS option as it provided the most appropriate method of treatment in terms of process simplicity, plant involved and flexibility of operation. The IFAS concept enables incorporation of high biological loading of an attached growth system with simple operation of a conventional activated sludge process."
The Pilot-plant will be developed and built by Eco-Solids and is expected to ready for shipment to PHIL ECOLOGY early in 2008.
June 2007 > Eco-Solids Process Technical Information updated
A new report entitled 'The Eco-Solids Process - Technical Information' has been released, which provides full technical details about the process.
This report replaces our earlier documentation and is much more comprehensive. This and other reports about the Eco-Solids Process are available to download from this website.
